The African American MBA Association (AAMBAA) at Chicago Booth provides a forum for interaction between students of African decent with the broader school community, corporate partners, and the City of Chicago. The goals of the organization are as follows:

  • Meet the educational and career needs of the African and African American student body

  • Facilitate community amongst African and African American students in other graduate programs.

Hind Hassan, 2019 AAMBAA Co-Chair

Hind Hassan is a second year full-time MBA student at Chicago Booth. On campus she serves as an Admissions Fellow, writer on The Booth Experience blog, Graduate Business Council representative, teacher’s assistant for Professor Scott Meadow and of course, AAMBAA co-chair.

She is currently the VP of Strategy at a recently established startup, My Art Cache, an online platform for art industry professionals to sell and buy art discretely and efficiently.

Before business school, Hind worked as a growth equity investor at Standard Chartered Private Equity, in Dubai, UAE. Before that she worked at Citigroup’s investment banking team. This past summer, Hind interned at Palladium Equity Partners, a New York-based private equity firm, focusing on industrials and business services space. She has also completed a part-time internship with ParkerGale, a SaaS-focused lower-mid market private equity firm in Chicago.

Hind is passionate about empowering women, especially women of color by getting them better access to capital and resources. Talk to her about it ;).


Osei Appiagyei, 2019 AAMBAA Co-Chair


After commencement from Booth in June of 2019 Osei will be joining Goldman Sachs as an Investment Banking Associate within the Industrials Group in Goldman’s Investment Banking Division. Immediately prior to attending Booth he worked as a Strategy Analyst for American Airlines. He was responsible for developing and communicating revenue management strategic initiatives across the airline. Furthermore, Osei played a critical role in the merger between American Airlines and US Airways conducting due diligence, pro-forma analyses, and most importantly managing the finances for the reservation system integration.

All of Osei’s career prior to Booth was spent in Commercial Aviation, beginning his career as a contracted baggage handler and rising through the organization through various departments such as Customer Service, Revenue Management, Financial Planning & Analysis, and Commercial Strategy.

Osei will complete his MBA with a concentration in Accounting, Economics, and Entrepreneurship. He holds a Masters in Aeronautical Science from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelors of Arts in Accounting from Belmont Abbey College, where he was also part of the Men’s Basketball Team.
